Jazz Flute Big Band at the Spice of Life – that’s a lotta flute
I had the privilege to play with Peter Westbrook’s Jazz Flute Big Band last night at the Spice of Life in Soho, as part of the London Jazz Festival, conducted by the excellent Phil Shotton, and featuring the talents of Mattan Klein, Eddie Parker, Casey Greene, and Jan Steele to name but a few highlights. That’s a lot of fluting… Looking forward to the next outing – such a great concept with fantastic original compositions and arrangements…
Halloween Urban Food Fest
Great playing with Andy Ruiz Palma and Alexander Rawlinson today at our last Urban Food fest of the year. We have had such a great time playing here – good crowd today of zombies and pumpkins among the usual festival goers… Really looking forward to coming back here in Spring for some more jazz fluting…
